Food and Beverage Marketing Survey: Montgomery County Public Schools

Final Report

In April/May 2007, a representative sample of 24 elementary, 6 middle, and 6 high schools (18% of all schools) were assessed. Trained school nurses assessed food and beverage marketing on: posters and signs in the school building; vending machines, including marketing on machine exteriors; and school stores. Trained dietetic interns interviewed school administrators regarding: school sponsorships; curricula; school supplies; fundraising activities; and other marketing.
