CSPI's comments on Child Nutrition Programs: Community Eligibility Provision-Increasing Options for Schools

In March 2023, the USDA proposed to lower the identified student percentage (ISP) from 40 to 25 percent, which effectively would increase the number of schools eligible to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). CEP is an instrumental tool to ensure that healthy school meals are accessible to students. CSPI submitted these comments in support of the USDA’s proposed rule.
