Rhea Jayaswal (she/her/hers) serves as a Policy Associate on the Federal Affairs team. In this role, she advocates for policies that advance public health and build a healthier, safer, and more equitable food system. She collaborates with Congress, national organizations, and scientific experts on topics ranging from food labeling to infant formula, and she helps coordinate the National Alliance for Nutrition and Activity (NANA) coalition.

Prior experience

Prior to joining CSPI, Rhea gained experience in local, state, and national food and health policy through internships at the Food Research and Action Center, the Orange County Food Council, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, UNC's Global Food Research Program, and the North Carolina Governor's Office. She has a B.S.P.H. in Nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
