Giridhar Mallya, MD, MSHP, is a public health physician and health policy expert who serves as Senior Policy Officer for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. In this role, he develops strategy in emerging health and social policy arenas; identifies and supports people, organizations, and networks that advance equity-promoting policies; informs Foundation-wide policy agenda-setting; and liaises with city, state, and federal leaders.

Dr. Mallya was previously Director of Policy and Planning for the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. He is a board certified family physician and an adjunct assistant professor of family medicine and community health at the University of Pennsylvania.
