Catherine Cochran (she/her) supports CSPI’s work to create healthier food environments in public places and institutions by coordinating advocacy efforts to strengthen the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, end and amend university pouring rights contracts, and promote healthy food procurement and food service policies.

Prior experience

Prior to joining CSPI, Catherine served as a Food Policy Program Assistant for the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and as a Food Systems Intern for Community Health Improvement Partners in San Diego, California. She earned an MA in Food Systems and Policy from New York University and a BA in Political Science from San Diego State University.
