Breanne Wright, PhD
Deputy Director, Science Department
Breanne (she/her/hers) provides strategic oversight to facilitate and strengthen the use of rigorous scientific methods and standards across the organization; provides scientific expertise, review, and data analysis support to all program teams; and serves as a liaison between CSPI and external scientists in academia and at partnering organizations. Breanne also manages a team of scientists spanning various policy issue areas, and leads CSPI’s efforts on sodium and FDA guidance.
Prior experience
Prior to joining CSPI, Breanne completed a B.S. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at University of Maryland–Baltimore County, an M.S. and Ph.D. in Nutrition Science at Purdue University, and a postdoctoral fellowship in the Social and Behavioral Sciences Branch at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NIH).
