Santa Fe soda tax loss provides important lessons

While the proposed tax lost, advocates in Santa Fe and elsewhere recognize the importance of engaging a community early and deeply and effectively communicating both the health risks from sugar drinks and the community needs that will be addressed with the tax revenues.  Every movement has setbacks, but the way forward is clear.
