Child Nutrition Reauthorization

Ensuring students continue to have access to healthy school meals is more critical than ever. The school lunch program feeds 30 million children—most from families in need. Healthy school meals support kids who might not otherwise have access to nutritious food at home, especially given the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Senior Policy Scientist

Eva Greenthal (she/her) oversees CSPI's federal food labeling work, leveraging the food label as a powerful public health tool to influence consumer and industry behavior. Eva also conducts research and supports CSPI's science-centered approach to advocacy as a member of the Science Department.

Circulation and Marketing Manager

Chris Schmidt manages day-to-day circulation and marketing operations, including CSPI donations up to $1,000 and Nutrition Action subscription inquiries.

Director of Federal Affairs

Colin Schwartz is the organization’s lead lobbyist on issues ranging from the school meals programs to the Farm Bill and facilitates the National Alliance for Nutrition and Activity (NANA), the nation’s largest nutrition advocacy coalition.

Policy Associate

Katie Marx (she/her/hers) provides support for numerous CSPI initiatives. She works closely on projects related to food marketing to kids and restaurant children's meals.

Deputy Litigation Director

Matt Simon focuses on identifying and bringing consumer class actions challenging food and supplement companies’ deceptive advertising and labeling practices, working with CSPI staff and private lawyers. He also identifies and litigates administrative lawsuits pressuring federal agencies to enact regulatory reforms to protect the health and safety of consumers.

Campaign Manager, Food and Environment

Sara Ribakove's (she/her/hers) work is focused on creating a healthier, more equitable, and more sustainable food system. Sara oversees CSPI’s work on improving the nutritional quality of food for children in restaurants and reducing unhealthy food marketing.

Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Kirby Page (she/her/hers) oversees CSPI's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) work. The program works across the organization to develop DEI strategies and programming. Within the DEI work, there are critical elements of interpersonal development, strategic planning, and learning programs.
