2025-2030 Strategic Plan
CSPI’s 5-year Strategic Plan (2025-2030) represents an ambitious agenda to improve the health and wellbeing of all communities, irrespective of race, income, education, or social factors. The plan was developed through a collaborative and inclusive process, representing perspectives from as many as eighty people (all staff, board, and external partners). It provides foundational guideposts for future organizational structure and programmatic priorities. Building on CSPI's long history of advocacy accomplishments, CSPI’s programmatic portfolio will be expanded to cover health (including drug and medical device regulation) in the future, in addition to nutrition and food safety.

Our mission
CSPI advocates for evidence-based and community-informed policies on nutrition, food safety and health; holds government agencies and corporations to account; and empowers consumers with independent, unbiased information to live healthier lives.

Our vision
CSPI envisions thriving communities supported by equitable, sustainable, and science-based solutions advancing nutrition, food safety, and health.

Our core values
We are inclusive. We seek to foster an environment where all staff feel a sense of belonging and are affirmed. We actively welcome and value staff with different experiences, backgrounds, attributes, abilities, and perspectives.
We are open. We are honest, direct, and respectful in how we communicate with each other.
We are kind. We communicate and treat one another in a generous, considerate, and compassionate way.
We are collaborative. We work together for the common good, seek input from those impacted by our work, and celebrate our shared successes.
We are accountable. We acknowledge and assume responsibility for our actions, learn from our mistakes with humility, and change course when circumstances warrant.
