Asia Carter (she,her,hers) manages CSPI’s relationship with current and potential grantees in the Midwest.

Prior experience

Asia brings a terrific blend of organizing and marketing experience to CSPI. Prior to joining CSPI, she co-founded Greater Orleans Volunteers; a MeetUp service group focused on improving the quality of life for New Orleanians. Asia digitally organized more than 300 volunteers for events throughout the city including weekly letters to prisons, tutoring inner-city youth, and neighborhood clean-ups. Asia also worked on a local School Board campaign and served as marketing chair for a youth empowerment nonprofit organization for girls. Asia earned her bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of New Orleans

Asia joined CSPI in March 2021.

What's the most inspiring part of your job?

"One of the most inspiring thing about my job is seeing the impact of our work, especially in collaboration with so many organizations. I’m constantly inspiring by all the crucial work being done on the ground by community-based organizations."
