News: Surgeon General Re-Issues Advisory on Drinking During Pregnancy

 

 

 

Surgeon General Richard H. Carmona

 

On February 21, 2005, Surgeon General Richard H. Carmona re-issued the 1981 advisory on drinking during pregnancy.  The new advisory incorporates new research and specifically directs the advice about abstaining from alcohol to pregnant women and those who are considering becoming pregnant.
